People go all out with the attire. Face paint, wigs, and body paint are common. You don’t have to go this hard if it’s your first time. Above all, dress comfortably and don’t forget to wear something green.

3. Art Walk

If someone in your group is an art lover, Savannah in the spring is perfect for them. There’s the Second Saturday Art Walk where you can sip cocktails and check out the local art galleries.

There’s also the Savannah College of Art and Design’s Sidewalk Arts Festival. Students at the school draw beautiful chalk creations on the sidewalks. You can go through and take a look at the talent.

4. Music Festivals

Spring is the perfect time for music and dance performances in Georgia. You can go to the Stopover festival. Hundreds of bands make their way through the state as they head to Texas.

There’s also the 17-day music festival. Bands from all walks of life and genre take part in this celebration. So, music lovers can expect to hear a little bit of everything.

If none of that is to your liking, you can get a taste of classical music from the talented Savannah Philharmonic.

5. Smell the Spring Flowers

Right in the middle of March, the streets in Georgia become lined with camellias and azaleas as far as the eye can see. It’s fun to just walk around and take in all the pretty colors.

Forsyth Park really comes to life around this time of year. Feel free to pack a lunch and have a picnic.

If you’re into flowers, you should head to the Savannah Georgia Botanical Garden. It consists of ten acres of beautiful plant life.

You’ll see rose gardens, colorful vegetables, camellias, fern gardens, and more. There are nature trails that you can walk that lead around the magnificent pond.

There’s also an archaeological study site and an amphitheater that you and your group can explore.

6. Tour Historical Homes

If you’re into architecture, Savannah has you covered. You can purchase tickets to numerous housing tours that go on during the spring.

You’ll be able to walk inside and learn how homes were built during the olden days.

7. Get a Dose of October in Spring

By day, Savannah looks like your average little city. At night, it becomes something much more sinister. It’s not called one of America’s most haunted cities for nothing.

Between the Civil War, several murders, and deaths from yellow fever, Savannah has gathered quite the reputation, and you can be a part of it.

There’s no shortage of ghost tours that go on during all times of the year. You can take a ride in an old-timey hearse and hear chilling stories about ghosts.

Okay, not all of them are that scary. This tour gets complaints on that front, but it’s still a fun experience.

There’s also the pub crawl where you take tours of haunted pubs all over the city. As you can imagine, this one is limited to those who are 21 years and over.
